We’ve been working behind the scenes on one of the biggest updates in SEO Generator so far – and version 3.0.0 is finally here.

This release focuses on compatibility, flexibility and performance. The goal: make SEO Generator work more smoothly with modern WordPress setups, while keeping generated SEO pages fast and stable at scale.

🚀 Full Gutenberg / Block Editor Support

One of the most requested improvements is now fully implemented: SEO Generator now properly supports the native WordPress Gutenberg / Block Editor experience.

This means generated pages work much more reliably with blocks, dynamic layouts and modern WordPress workflows – without needing workarounds.

🔧 Better Compatibility With Page Builders

We also significantly improved compatibility with page builders like Elementor, Divi, Bricks and others.

The biggest reason this is now possible is our new Split Architecture.

Instead of processing everything in a post type, SEO Generator now separates settings and content. This allows page builders and Gutenberg blocks to keep working normally while SEO Generator dynamically injects the generated content underneath the hood.

This architectural change lays the groundwork for future compatibility improvements as well.

⚡ New Performance Module

SEO Generator is often used to generate thousands of pages – so performance matters.

Version 3.0.0 introduces a new Performance Module with multiple optimizations to help generated pages load faster and scale more efficiently.

This results in a cleaner and more stable experience overall.

🩺 New Status Tab

We also introduced a brand-new Status Tab to help users quickly verify whether their SEO Generator pages are configured correctly.

The Status Tab automatically checks important setup requirements and gives clear visual feedback for common configuration issues.

It currently verifies whether:

• the WP permalink settings are correct

• a content page is linked and published

• the required placeholders [search_term] and [location] are used

• search terms and locations are filled in

• the content page is not used across settings pages

The goal is simple: make troubleshooting faster and reduce setup mistakes.

New Table of Contents feature 📝

Adding a Table of Contents (ToC) to long-form pages isn’t just helpful for readers — it’s also a known SEO boost. It increases content structure, improves user experience, and can help generate sitelinks in search results.

With the new ToC shortcode, SEO Generator can automatically generate a Table of Contents based on the headings (H2 and H3) in your SEO Page Template. Easy does it!

Of course, you have full control over it:

• Enable the Table of Contents per master page

• Edit the title to display above the Table of Contents

• Allow visitors to show or hide the Table of Contents

• Include H3 headings in addition to H2 headings
